Head of Finance

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the medical industry. They would like to engage a Head of Finance to lead the finance function.

The Role

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts on time, providing financial analysis, budget variance reviews, and insights into business performance and trends.
• Oversee daily financial transactions and maintain accurate, complete, and timely accounting records.
• Supervise General Ledger activities and manage the monthly payment process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines.
• Ensure all financial information complies with accounting standards, company policies, and legal and regulatory requirements.
• Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and ensure proper authorization and governance procedures.
• Manage cash flow, funding forecasts, working capital, and financial obligations while overseeing effective credit control and debtor management.
• Collaborate with management on finance-related projects, system implementations, and process improvements to enhance organizational performance.
• Coordinate annual audits, oversee statutory reporting and financial statements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to support company objectives.

Requirements

• Be in possession of an Accounting Qualification, ACCA or similar and be locally warranted
• Have proven experience in leading the team
• Be tech saavy
• Has attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
