Financial Controller

Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. The selected candidate will have the chance to grow within the company and report to the Director. 

Responsibilities:

• Preparing VAT returns
• Assist the CFO with financial planning 
• Participating in the preparation of financial statements
• Assisting with queries from auditors
• Compiling financial information for management, auditors, tax authorities, and regulators
• Generating month-end reports
• Providing assistance to internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting the CFO in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit
• Maintaining accounting controls and recommend improvements to policies and procedures

• Previous experience in a senior role
• Willing to learn and grow within the company
• Hands on and able to meet deadlines
• Fluency in Maltese and English
• Excellent in Excel use

• Relevant Accounting qualification or be in the process of obtaining the ACCA certification
