Financial Controller

Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. The selected candidate will have the chance to grow within the company and report to the Director.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing VAT returns
- Assist the CFO with financial planning
- Participating in the preparation of financial statements
- Assisting with queries from auditors
- Compiling financial information for management, auditors, tax authorities, and regulators
- Generating month-end reports
- Providing assistance to internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting the CFO in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit
- Maintaining accounting controls and recommend improvements to policies and procedures
- Previous experience in a senior role
- Willing to learn and grow within the company
- Hands on and able to meet deadlines
- Fluency in Maltese and English
- Excellent in Excel use
- Relevant Accounting qualification or be in the process of obtaining the ACCA certification
