Finance Officer

Job Description
Tumas Group in Malta is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate will perform a variety of financial support tasks and general administrative duties.

These include:

• Compiling reports relating to group purchasing on a regular basis.
• Liaising with our insurance brokers and various group companies regarding the management and renewal of insurance policies.
• Monitoring the Group’s capital expenditure budgets. 
• Coordinating matters relating to fiscal obligations with company Accountants.
• Assisting in the management of the business relationship with banks and financial institutions including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating and handling day-to-day banking matters on behalf of group companies.
  • Opening of bank accounts
  • Collection of due diligence information as part of compliance procedures
  • Compiling bank-related reports
  • Reviewing sanction letters and compilation of facilities reports
  • Reviewing security arrangements with banks
• General Office support duties.

Candidates should possess the following:

• A Diploma in Accounting or Finance or equivalent qualification. Partly qualified ACCA candidates will be considered.
• Well versed in MS Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
• A professional approach to the job.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Maltese and English.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and on own initiative while a team player.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role is necessary, while previous experience related to banking and/or finance would be considered an asset.
