Tumas Group in Malta is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate will perform a variety of financial support tasks and general administrative duties.
These include:
Compiling reports relating to group purchasing on a regular basis.
Liaising with our insurance brokers and various group companies regarding the management and renewal of insurance policies.
Monitoring the Group’s capital expenditure budgets.
Coordinating matters relating to fiscal obligations with company Accountants.
Assisting in the management of the business relationship with banks and financial institutions including but not limited to:
Coordinating and handling day-to-day banking matters on behalf of group companies.
Opening of bank accounts
Collection of due diligence information as part of compliance procedures
Compiling bank-related reports
Reviewing sanction letters and compilation of facilities reports
Reviewing security arrangements with banks
General Office support duties.
Candidates should possess the following:
A Diploma in Accounting or Finance or equivalent qualification. Partly qualified ACCA candidates will be considered.
Well versed in MS Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
A professional approach to the job.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Maltese and English.
Able to work with minimal supervision and on own initiative while a team player.
At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role is necessary, while previous experience related to banking and/or finance would be considered an asset.
