The Finance Manager will lead a team of five finance professionals covering Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Intercompany Accounting. This role is central to ensuring strong financial governance, efficient operations, and accurate reporting within the Maltese entity. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with exceptional people leadership, resilience, and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of five, ensuring high performance, clear objectives, and continuous professional growth.

• Oversee AR, AP, Treasury, and Intercompany processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and local regulations.

• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations to support business needs.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain strong intercompany reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring alignment with group reporting requirements.

• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies across the finance function.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, and external partners within the Maltese market.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as required.

• Uphold strong governance, risk management, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role, ideally within Malta or a similar regulatory environment.

• Strong technical knowledge across AR, AP, Treasury, and Intercompany processes.

• Solid understanding of Maltese accounting standards, tax requirements, and statutory obligations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse finance team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and networks.

• Highly resilient, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical mindset and problem solving abilities.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
