Doubletree By Hilton Malta is currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
A position has arisen to complement our Finance Team. The position calls for a dedicated candidate who is reliable, highly self-motivated, has a positive can-do attitude and a hands-on approach to work.

As requisites to the role, the ideal candidate needs to be:

  • Pro-active, eager to learn, fast to adapt and integrate into a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be highly organised and flexible
  • Meticulous and accurate with an eye for detail
  • Must be an excellent team player and leader.


This role supports a robust control and compliance environment and includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Balance sheet reporting and validations
  • Preparation of journals for the monthly management accounts
  • Weekly reporting
  • Preparation of weekly rostering of the finance team
  • Compilation of monthly VAT reporting
  • Banking & Credit Card reconciliation matters
  • Upload of payments file into online banking
  • Intercompany reconciliation and other
  • Overseeing Cashiering and Income Audit functions
  • Assisting in the internal and external audit processes 
  • Prepare and submit statistics as required by local law
  • Handling of day-to-day accounting matters
  • Support in training preparation and delivery of Finance related operational topics
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and analytical projects that will arise from time to time
  • Provide direct support to the Finance Leadership Team.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of A level standard of education and/part qualified Accounting Qualification
  • Be fluent in the use of computer applications, especially MS Excel
  • Have excellent written and spoken English 
  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday with the occasional weekend and after hours when required.
