Our client within the Financial Services is looking for a Data Protection Manager to join their team
Responsibilities:
- Develop data protection policies under the head of department's guidance
- Ensure company is compliant with GDPR, Data Protection Act, and relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits.
- Design and deliver data protection training programs for staff.
- Report and update on breaches and incidents.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on GDPR and Data Protection Act amendments.
- Manage data subject requests professionally.
- Represent the entity in data protection matters locally and internationally.
- Provide timely assistance and responses to data protection inquiries.
Requirements
- 6 years of relevant experience in the role (including 2 years in a senior role)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of data protection principles and laws
- Excellent communication skills in both the Maltese & English languages
- Experience in the implementation of data protection rules
Education and Experience
- University Degree (MQF Level 6) or equivalent in Law or IT
