Compliance Officer

Our client, a leading CSP is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will be managing a team and have the following responsibilities: 

• Ensuring that the company is inline with all relevant laws and regulations applicable in Malta. 
• Developing, implementing, and updating internal policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with regulatory requirements and the industry's best practices
• Regularly monitoring the company’s activities to identify and address any compliance issues, as well as conducting regular risk assessments and reporting findings to senior management in quarterly compliance reports
• Providing training and education to employees on compliance matters 
• Conducting internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance and address any identified issues promptly
• Liaising and act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities in Malta
• Providing guidance and advice to employees on compliance-related matters
• Assisting other entities within the group in the collection of due diligence and assist with regulatory reporting
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement in relation to compliance and recommend and implement changes to enhance the overall compliance program
• Leading and managing the KYC team, providing guidance and support to team members whilst fostering a positive and collaborative team culture

• A minimum of three to five years working experience in a similar role within Financial Services
• MUST have exceptional leadership skills with a proven record of such
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, English
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Must be decisive and assertive, and hold the ability to work on own initiative while being able to motivate and mentor team members
• Eligible to get the PQ from the regulator
