We are looking for a Warranted Electrical Engineer to serve as the primary point of contact for the electrical maintenance team. Their role encompasses coordinating resources, providing technical support, and managing knowledge to ensure the team is equipped to handle maintenance, testing, and commissioning responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Build and cultivate a proficient team of technicians to execute electrical maintenance, testing, and commissioning at client/project sites.
• Serve as a technical mentor and liaison for the technical team and clients during commissioning phases and throughout the maintenance lifecycle.
• Ensure each team member possesses the necessary tools and knowledge to complete assigned tasks promptly and to the expected quality standards.
• Plan work schedules in alignment with maintenance and project commissioning timelines.
• Collaborate with the projects team to review schematics and drawings for ongoing projects, facilitating planning for testing and commissioning requirements.
• As a Warranted Electrical Engineer, ensure installations meet quality standards and regulatory compliance, ultimately signing off on completed installations.
• Evaluate the proficiency of electrical technicians and identify training needs accordingly.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for clients during emergency call-outs requiring technical support.
• Participate in progress meetings, both internally and with clients, as necessary.
• Prepare and issue quotations for new maintenance requests and change requests related to Electrical/ELV Systems.
Requirements:
• Must be in possession of a local warrant
• Previous industry experience is considered an asset
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
