Our client is a very well established organisation operating in retail industry, are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Manager. Reporting to the General Manager your duties will include the following:
Plan, execute, and oversee all technical projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to standards, and staying within budget.
Establish and maintain an effective preventive and corrective maintenance plan for company equipment and premises, utilising both internal and external resources to minimise downtime.
Strategise, coordinate, and delegate tasks within the technical department to maximize productivity while ensuring high-quality implementation.
Offer technical guidance and supervision to team members and on-site contractors as needed.
Evaluate and monitor the productivity and efficiency of technical and human resources, taking corrective action when necessary.
Manage contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery according to the established plan.
Maintain an inventory of technical equipment, tracking equipment and repair history.
Ensure an ample supply of spares and consumables to support operational requirements.
Stay informed about innovations and technological advancements in machinery and equipment, identifying opportunities for the company's benefit.
Participate in the Health and Safety Committee, taking the lead in reporting on legal requirements, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to ensure the company complies with all health and safety obligations.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Proven experience in technical project management and maintenance.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Local experience within the industry is a must
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with advancements in technology and machinery.
Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
License A & B or a Warrant
