Structural Engineer

Our client within the Architecture and Design Industry is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. The selected candidate will play a key role in the design, supervision, and delivery of structural projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertake structural design and prepare structural/construction drawings.
• Perform general draughting tasks as required.
• Supervise works on-site to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Manage and coordinate projects, including liaising with contractors and consultants.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections.
• Measure and assess completed works for quantity surveying purposes.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Carry out any other related duties as may be required by the employer.

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Architect or Civil Engineer Warrant.
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in structural design and construction supervision, preferably in Malta.
• Proven expertise in structural design for buildings using Eurocodes and local standards.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed structural and construction drawings.
• Strong capability in site supervision and project coordination.
• Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; fluency in Maltese is considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
