Structural Engineer

Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated Structural Engineer with a sound knowledge of structural engineering principles to join the Malta office and work on all the phases of the design process on a variety of projects, ranging in both scale and scope.

What you'll be doing

• Develop structural designs on projects at a range of scales in concrete, steel, masonry, timber and other materials
• Carry out projects on all phases of the design process, from concept design stage through to inspection on site
• Coordinate with the architect and other engineering consultants as part of the team
• Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge
• Uses analytical software effectively and interprets the outputs well
• Applies theory to practice in a logical way
• Highlights potential problems and ensures there is a resolution
• Preparation of property condition and valuation reports

What We’re Looking For

• A master’s degree in structural engineering
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in structural engineering consultancy
• Working knowledge of Eurocode suite of standards
• Working knowledge of relevant design software for structural analysis
• Someone who enjoys their work and is indisputably passionate about delivering great engineering
• Able to prioritise own workload, meet tight deadlines and work effectively within a team
• Able to build effective working relationships with professionals of all levels and disciplines within the organisation
