Sales Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a Sales Design Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering professional who enjoys combining technical design expertise with customer engagement and commercial responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, tendering, and sales support of power distribution solutions, working closely with M&E contractors and other key customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare and manage technical tenders and quotations for low voltage, power distribution projects.

● Design electrical power distribution panel solutions to meet customer requirements.

● Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and M&E contractors throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

● Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders

● Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify business opportunities.

● Will be responsible for the panel building department.

● Collaborate and support the sales team with technical matters.

● Ensure all proposals comply with technical specifications, standards, and project requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience preparing and managing technical tenders.
• Electrical engineering background with knowledge of power distribution systems.
• Strong technical and commercial awareness.
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and contractors.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible and willing to take ownership of projects and customer relationships.
• Knowledge of electrical design and build processes.
• Experience in power distribution products, switchgear, or panel building
• Experience with automation systems and electrical panel design.
• Warranted Engineer qualification or equivalent level of experience preferred.
