Plant Maintenance Engineer

A new job opportunity for a Plant Maintenance Engineer is now available within a leading manufacturing company. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Performing a variety of duties in maintaining, repairing, operating and cleaning of the plant and campus facilities
• Assisting in taking decisions on all normal/minor issues and report major issues to the Power Area Management Team
• Maintaining and performing minor repairs to equipment using general power and hand tools and other equipment as may be necessary
• Performing tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting and minor electrical works
• Maintaining proper Preventive Maintenance Records
• Working within Environmental and Health & Safety requirements procedures
• Working within the Quality Management System requirements and procedures including Certification and Customer requirements

• Great communication skills, both oral and written skills, in English and Maltese
• Influential with leadership quality
• Analytical with good problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
• Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment is essential
• Ability to be flexible and to multitask

• A Degree in Engineering, preferably electrical
• Minimum of at least 3 years experience within facilities and maintenance
• Experience of Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC
• Proficient in MS Office
