Our client is looking for a Plant Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of plant equipment, utilities, and facilities. This includes overseeing equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and calibration activities in line with EP and USP standards, while also supporting engineering projects across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal performance of all equipment through regular inspections and operational reviews
  • Respond to breakdowns, emergencies, and repair requirements, including sourcing necessary spare parts
  • Prepare and review qualification documentation, including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ
  • Execute and maintain qualification schedules for facilities, utilities, and equipment
  • Ensure all qualification activities comply with GMP and regulatory standards
  • Maintain an up-to-date equipment qualification and review programme
  • Develop and review preventive maintenance procedures and ensure proper implementation
  • Manage the preventive maintenance programme and support the engineering team in execution
  • Develop and review calibration procedures for critical equipment
  • Coordinate calibration activities with external suppliers and ensure timely execution
  • Manage annual equipment certifications in line with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee and maintain the pest control programme across both facilities
  • Support and/or lead engineering projects, including planning, supplier coordination, and implementation
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of capital investment initiatives
  • Review and approve relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with GMP and internal quality stan
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an engineering function, ideally in a regulated environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements is considered an asset
