Mechanical Engineer

Marsa Rebar Ltd., a leading steel processing company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to optimise the performance and reliability of our production machinery and processes. Working with advanced Manufacturing Machinery. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with practical, hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and assess the performance and efficiency of factory machines and equipment.

• Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimise downtime and boost productivity.

• Collaborate closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal machinery performance.

• Develop and maintain performance monitoring systems, KPIs, and reporting tools.

• Support the integration and commissioning of new machinery, technologies, or upgrades.

• Work with the Factory Manager and Production Supervisors to enhance workflow and output.

• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recognised Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

• Proven experience with industrial machinery, preferably in steel, metal, or heavy manufacturing sectors.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Familiarity with performance monitoring systems, production efficiency metrics, and maintenance practices.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in technical documentation, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of process optimisation and Lean manufacturing principles.

• Experience with automation systems and/or control instrumentation.
