General Maintenance

Paradise Bay Hotel Ltd. is seeking an experienced and skilled General Maintenance Level 3 professional to join our Maintenance team in a senior role supporting hotel operations and infrastructure. The General Maintenance Level 3 role is a senior technical position responsible for advanced repairs, fault diagnosis, and coordinating maintenance activities across the hotel. The role supports preventive maintenance planning, mentors junior staff, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high operational standards in a four-star hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Carry out advanced maintenance and repair work across hotel systems and facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building-related faults.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during assigned shifts.
• Support planning, tracking, and execution of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor General Maintenance Level 1 and Level 2 staff.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when required.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Assist with the planning and execution of refurbishment and improvement projects.

Job Specification

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a general maintenance role, preferably within a hotel or similar operational environment.
• Proven technical competence in advanced troubleshooting and repair work.
• Experience supervising, guiding, or mentoring maintenance staff.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate maintenance tasks effectively.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
