Fixed Access Network Engineer

Melita Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Fixed Access Network Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Role:
We are currently looking for a Fixed Access Networks Engineer to join our Access Networks Department. The selected candidate will form part of the Fixed Access Networks team and will be involved in the planning, implementation, and operations of the fixed telecommunication systems on Melita’s network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching and recommending technical solutions;
• Introducing new equipment and systems
• Maintaining systems under their responsibility as well as exploiting opportunities for improvement
• Preparation of project and systems documentation

• A degree in a telecommunications-related field.
• Preferably have CCNA and Linux qualifications.
• 2+ years’ working experience in WDM/HFC/CCAP access technologies.
• Preferable working experience in DAA architectures (R-PHY/R-MACPHY).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and a dedicated team player.
• Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and take your own initiative.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Good command of the English language
