ELV Supervisor

The ELV Supervisor shall provide leadership to assigned teams whilst ensuring that employees have the necessary guidance and support to perform their role effectively. The ELV Supervisor shall oversee the coordination and commissioning of activities for the various projects and domestic and/or commercial installations undertaken within the department. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Leading the commissioning activities of assigned ELV projects on the different sites for domestic, commercial and/or industrial applications;

• Oversee the planned and reactive maintenance and/or servicing on Fire Alarm Systems (including smoke and heat detection) & ELV systems such as CCTV, ac-cess control, Intercom, PA equipment. 

• Attend any daily project coordination meetings at project site;

• Ensure site installations by the ELV team or Sub-Contractors meet company quali-ty standards, specifications and drawings; 

• Ensure that all test records are in accordance with the project quality compliance procedures; 

• Provide solutions to troubleshooting – including the diagnosing of technical prob-lems and suggest/carry out repairs to rectify problems;

• Interface and feedback to the Engineering department on any changes in design, whilst ensuring that works are in line with best practice and internal expert ad-vice; 

• Checking, ordering and/or preparing materials and equipment required for the commissioning of services, whilst raising requisitions when required; 

• Ensure that project assigned to them is in line with pre-requisites for the project, including details on the BOQ, cost and time effectiveness;

Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:

• A minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar environment and with experience and with proven technical expertise in ELV systems; 

• Exposure and/or experience in leading/coaching people at project site;

• Have a positive approach to people and work;

• Ability to use basic hand tools and working at heights;

• Be able to design technical drawings and datasheets; 

• A valid Driving License;
