Electro Mechanical Technician

Our client is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician to be the front-line expert at their parts counter. This role goes beyond simple transactions, the ideal person will be the trusted advisor who helps their clients select the correct parts and components needed to keep their industrial processes running efficiently. Success requires a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and a naturally warm, engaging personality.

The Main Responsibilities include: 

• Technical Consultation: Serve as the primary technical resource at the sales counter, assisting customers with part identification, cross-referencing, and understanding application requirements (e.g., PLCs, sensors, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Customer Communications Management: Proactively manage the support mailbox for technical and quotation inquiries, prepare and send formal sales quotes via email, and respond professionally to all inbound telephone calls.
• Solution Selling: Recommend alternative or upgraded products based on customer needs, utilizing your technical knowledge to drive sales.
• Technical Hands-On Service: Asssist the Technical team with onsite installation and repairs at our client`s premises when the need arises. 

Requirements

• Must be a genuine "People's Person", approachable, engaging, and able to build rapport quickly.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene suitable for a customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated understanding of core industrial components (e.g., drives, sensors, relays, connectors, HMI, safety components, pneumatics, compressors etc).

Education and Experience

• Technical Background is Required: Previous experience in industrial maintenance, electrical/mechanical parts sales, or a relevant technical degree/certification (e.g., Industrial Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing or equivalent) is essential.
