Automation Technician

Our client is seeking an Automation Technician to join their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical and industrial automation background who enjoys a combination of hands-on field work and office-based technical support.

The Main Responsibilities include: 

• Carry out installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of industrial machinery at client sites.
• Support automation projects, including machine and panel building.
• Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support via phone and email.
• Assist customers with product identification and technical enquiries.
• Recommend suitable automation solutions based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of industrial automation components, including PLCs, sensors, drives, HMIs, motor controls and pneumatics.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

• Relevant qualification in Industrial Automation, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing or a related technical field.
• Previous local experience in industrial maintenance, automation or a similar technical role.
• Experience within an industrial environment is essential.
• Experience with robotics will be considered an asset.
• Electrical Licence A will be considered an asset.
