Draughtsperson

CF Estates Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Draughtsperson to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

A Draughtsperson at CF Estates involves updating and creating detailed drawings and layouts of building sites.

This role is crucial in facilitating the smooth progression of construction projects, by providing essential technical drawings and supporting the quantity surveying process. The Draughtsperson is expected to ensure that the project teams have reliable and accurate information to bring designs to life while adhering to industry standards, project timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilties:

• Responsible for producing, maintaining, and updating existing drawings as per project requirements
• Working closely with architects and engineers and create detailed drawings of layouts for construction projects and understand project specifications
• Performing calculations to determine material and weight restrictions
• Contribute to quantity surveying tasks such as ensuring that request for payment received from supplier adhere to the contractual agreements or otherwise
• Ensure actual quantities of materials used on site are in line with the approved plan
• Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and plans, ensuring they align with project specifications and requirements
• Assist the construction and finishing team with technical expertise, addressing queries, and providing necessary clarifications related to drawings and plans
• Conduct site visits with Project Manager when necessary
• Participating in project and technical meetings
• Well-organized filing system for all drawings, revisions, and associated documentation
• Stay up to date with draughting and design tools and other draughting regulatory and industry standards
• Perform any other duties that may be required.

Skills:

• Possess an architectural design qualification or in a similar field
• Proficiency in using Revit architecture and building design software
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, for creating and modifying detailed drawings and layouts
• Proficiency in Photoshop Adobe
• Have a good eye for detail and good understanding of Bill of Quantities (BOQ's)
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools
• Attention to detail is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our projects and deliverables
• Must be team oriented
• Maintain a positive attitude and adeptness in managing constructive feedback
• Proficiency in resolving challenges
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
• Must possess exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Be able to take initiative and be proactive in your responsibilities.
