Data Analyst

LibroLogic in Malta is looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job description:
We are looking for a passionate certified Data Analyst. The successful candidate will scrutinise data using specialist tools to generate information that aids decision-making and the implementation of models and other programs pertaining to the distribution of sports betting content and the provision of odds therein. Working with the quantitative modeling team, they will respond to questions about data and look for trends, patterns, and anomalies within it.

Responsibilities: 

• Acquire a variety of data streams arising from diverse online sources, internal and external APIs, and databases.
• Organise data efficiently into databases and data structures.
• Test, filter, validate and transform data to provide data scientists with clear and meaningful information.
• Preliminary statistical analysis of data to identify outliers and risky data points and to get some basic insights on summary statistics and distributions.
• Design schedulers to implement workflows concerning the acquisition, validation, processing, and storage of data.
• Collaborate with data scientists on the management of data and code and assist in the organisation and scheduling of tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
• As a secondary part of your role, you might become the main link between the quantitative team and IT or you may be more involved with statistical modelling, dependent on your background and interests.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient with Python, including Pandas and Numpy. 
• Data acquisition experience with libraries such as Selenium, and MySQL database experience.
• Depending on the candidate’s background, we expect either a basic understanding of statistics and linear algebra or the ability to write code according to conventional development standards.
• Some experience with code-sharing and overall organisational skills would be of benefit.
• Some experience in the sports betting industry will be considered advantageous.
