IRIS THAUMAS Ltd in Malta is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join their client's team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the senior BI developer, this role is designed to provide reporting and analysis for our client's core sports and casino products. The successful candidate will be playing a key role in monitoring the performance across all aspects of the business from headline revenue figures to the uptake of features within the products, leading to actionable insight. The candidate should have an analytical mindset, that looks to identify trends or problems, and confidently recommend actions to key stakeholders based on findings.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is an iGaming company who provides a next-generation platform that delivers the gaming experience of the future with its market-specific online sportsbook, casino and retail solutions and is located in San Gwann.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with internal and external report users to maintain, improve and build new reports.
- Understanding the business and stakeholders, especially sportsbook and trading teams to ensure analytical needs are met.
- Monitoring the performance across the business, investigating changes in core KPIs and identifying causes.
- Analyzing trends and identifying new player groups based on player transactional behavior patterns.
- Working closely with the director of sports betting to identify and implement both operational and product improvements.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- 1+ years of experience in a technical data role.
- Knowledge of SQL and a modern programming language (such as Python).
- Knowledge of a reporting tool (such as Tableau or Power BI).
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Python is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the online casino or sports betting industries is considered an asset.
- Confident Excel user.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
- A can-do attitude. Follows up and takes ownership of work.
- Good with numbers. Deep interest in data analysis, visualization, and communicating data to people.
EDUCATION:
- A degree in IT, statistics or another numerate area would be beneficial.
