Production and Design Assistant

Our client is looking for a Production and Design Assistant. 

This person will support the day-to-day operations of the production department by assisting with basic graphic design tasks, preparing artwork for rubber stamp production, operating laser engraving equipment, and managing various printing and finishing machines. The role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a hands-on approach to ensure high-quality products are delivered efficiently and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify basic artwork and layouts using graphic design software.
• Prepare designs and files for rubber stamp production.
• Operate and maintain laser engraving and cutting machines.
• Set up and operate printing and finishing equipment.
• Perform quality checks on completed products to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with order processing, production scheduling, and job preparation.
• Maintain production equipment and ensure a clean, organised work environment.
• Monitor stock levels of materials and report replenishment requirements.
• Support the team with general production and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and design software.
• Good computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Hands-on approach with good organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in printing, production, engraving, or a similar environment will be considered an asset.
