Hili Ventures Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Data Protection Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.
OVERVIEW:
Hili Ventures is seeking to recruit a Data Protection Officer to advise the Company on privacy-related matters, drive awareness and lead its General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance program. The role will also involve providing support to other Malta-based subsidiaries of the group.
Based in Malta and reporting to the Board of Directors and the Head of Privacy, the Data Protection Officer will review agreements from a data protection perspective, negotiate data protection terms with business partners and ensure that vendor risk assessments are in place, conduct initial audits for new acquisitions, manage any personal data breaches and identify and mitigate gaps for compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate will monitor compliance, maintain records of all data processing activities and data maps and promote a culture of data protection compliance across all departments of the Company in line with the group strategy as set by Hili Ventures.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
The preferred candidate will hold a degree in law specialising in GDPR and have at least two years experience in a similar role, preferably as an in-house DPO. IAPP CIPM Certification and/or CIPP/E will be considered an asset.
The candidate will have excellent communication and negotiating skills, attention to detail, a strong sense of collaboration and be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities and functional excellence.
