Senior AML & Compliance Manager

We are working with one of Malta's leading firms who are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior AML & Compliance Manager to join their team. This person will report to the MLRO and partner, and will play a key leadership role within the firm's AML & Compliance Function

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the firm’s AML framework and operations, ensuring effective implementation across all practice groups.
• Support the CSP Compliance Officer in maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and legal obligations.
• Provide senior oversight of AML activities, including onboarding, CDD, EDD, ongoing monitoring, sanctions screening, and high-risk case approvals.
• Drive AML risk identification, assessment, escalation, and mitigation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Prepare and contribute to Board and senior management reporting, regulatory engagements, audits, and inspections.
• Lead, mentor, and develop AML teams while supporting the continuous improvement of AML policies, procedures, controls, and training initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in AML and Compliance within a regulated or CSP Environment
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT legislation and risk-based frameworks
• Strong experience managing teams and overseeing complex AML cases
• Professional qualifications (e.g. ACAMS, ICA) preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelor Degree in a related field
