Risk Manager

Our client, within the payments industry is seeking to recruit a Risk Manager, reporting to the CEO the chosen candidate will be responsible for: 

• Implementing an overall risk management process, including analysis of the financial impact on the company
• Performing risk assessments by analysing current risks and identifying risks which could affect the business
• Evaluating risks handled in the past and potential risks with policies and procedures set out by the company 
• Preparation of a risk management budget
• Implementing business continuity plans to limit risks 
• Performing compliance audits which includes liasing with both internal and external auditors 
• Reviewing new business contracts or proposals 
• Providing training and support to team members to build risk awareness 

• Experience working in a risk management role in the financial services industry or regulated environment
• Understanding of MFSA requirements with regards to the risk management function
• Strong understanding of operational risk framework including operational risk systems, policies and regulatory requirements
• AML experience in a regulated environment
• Resilient and works well under pressure
• Decision maker and making sound judgement

• Holds a University Degree/Qualification related to risk management, financial services

• Hybrid Working Model (after probationary period)
