Deriv (Europe) Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Regulatory Compliance Executive to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
You’ll be part of our Compliance team, where we manage regulatory compliance within the company. We perform a wide range of tasks, such as ensuring operational compliance with regulations, assisting with regulatory audits and annual statutory audits, conducting anti-fraud checks on clients, and analysing trade and payment activities for abuse. Our work is essential to the company’s sustainability and ambition.
As a Regulatory Compliance Executive at Deriv, you’ll work with the Head of Compliance to ensure that our global group of companies fully conform to relevant national and international laws and regulations. These include ABC, AML, GDPR, MiFID II, investment firm regulations and directives, and more. Your experience and expertise will be crucial in ensuring our compliance in all the regions we operate.
Your challenges:
Help the team with:
Creating and enforcing compliance policies, Conducting regulatory risk management assessments, Documenting and reviewing operational procedures, Performing annual statutory and regulatory audits
Keep everyone in the company updated on the latest practices in regulatory compliance.
Organize company-wide training sessions to communicate key changes and ensure everyone has a sound understanding of regulatory compliance.
Review and monitor business contracts and agreements for our global group of companies
Implement necessary changes to our internal policies to manage and mitigate compliance risks
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in commerce (or any business-related field), law, or risk management
A good understanding of corporate, legal, or regulatory compliance
A thorough understanding of the industry’s regulatory framework (such as ABC, AML, GDPR, and MiFID II)
Proficiency in MS Office
The ability to draft and review legal documents and prepare licence applications
Strong analytical and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
The ability to absorb and understand various compliance matters in international jurisdictions
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
