A client of ours specialising in Financial Services is urgently seeking a Compliance Senior Executive to join their team of professionals:
Duties:
Supervising and controlling the day-to-day activity of the Company to ensure all functions comply with applicable regulatory and compliance obligations
Ensuring management and employees are up to date with the latest compliance laws and regulations
Providing relevant advice to the Company stakeholders on all compliance matters
Working with the MLRO to report on any compliance infringements
Reviewing and updating the Company’s practices to identify possible risks
Ensuring all employees are up to date with the latest compliance laws and regulations
Be the main point of contact for all legal requirements within the Company
Ensuring all regulatory reporting obligations to which the Company is subject are submitted correctly in a timely manner
Responsible for the Company complying with all applicable licensing conditions deriving from local laws and EU Directives
Representing the Company as the principal point of contact for applicable competent authorities
Keeping up to date with evolving regulations and engaging in continuous learning and development regarding changes in rules and regulations that would require to be deployed
Skill-sets and Requirements
Must be PQd by the MFSA as a Compliance Officer, or eligible to be (this is non negotiable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies on all compliance matters
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role witin a regulated financial services entity or with the local regulatory body
Education & Experience
In possession of a higher degree from a recognized educational body in Law and/or Finance/Banking
