Compliance Officer (Part-time: 12 hours weekly)

An small innovative client of ours operating within the Payments industry is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their team of a 12-hour weekly basis:

Responsibilities:

• Developing, monitoring and implementation of the annual compliance plan, including conducting thematic reviews and any ad-hoc reviews as appropriate, whilst report findings and recommendations to the management
• Acting as liaison with the company’s regulator as required, and ensuring the timely submission of all regulatory reporting
• Reviewing and maintaining the core compliance policies, ensuring that the scope and application is clear and effective
• Produce client-based risk assessments and conduct periodic reviews on existing clients when necessary
• Carry out daily transaction monitoring and data validation
• Assist the MLRO in report preparation and provide ad hoc assistance when needed

• Previously PQd as a Compliance Officer or eligible to be
• A minimum of 3 years experience within compliance, financial services or related area
• A solid understanding of the law and legislation in Malta
• Autonomous, takes initiative and able to work independently

• Ideally in possession of MQF Level 6 in a related field
