Role Overview
The role involves supporting the review and assessment of applications, conducting due diligence checks, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to sound, risk-based decision-making within a structured regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Review & Assessment: Conduct structured reviews of applications, ensuring documentation, declarations and supporting information are complete, accurate and aligned with regulatory requirements.

  • Due Diligence & Verification: Support identification and verification checks on individuals and entities, review ownership and corporate structures, and assist with related screening and risk assessment activities.

  • Regulatory Processing: Assist with the assessment and processing of licensing and authorisation-related applications, amendments, approvals and related regulatory submissions.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with applicants and internal stakeholders to request clarifications, resolve outstanding matters and support efficient progression of cases.

  • Documentation & Recommendations: Prepare internal assessments, maintain accurate records, support case file management and contribute recommendations relating to application outcomes.

  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to enhancements in procedures and templates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on shared regulatory matters.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Education: Degree (MQF Level 6 or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Management, Criminology or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant diploma-level qualifications and practical experience may also be considered.

  • Experience: Exposure to compliance, KYC, due diligence, authorisations, regulatory operations or financial services would be considered advantageous.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of corporate structures, customer due diligence processes, or regulatory review processes would be a strong asset.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to review information critically, identify issues and support sound decision-making.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and stakeholder-focused approach.

  • Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy, organisation and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative approach, strong professionalism and the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Organisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

  • Self-Motivated: Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong sense of accountability.
