AML and Compliance Assistant

Our Client a well established local law firm is seeking to recruit an AML and Compliance Assistant working within the corporate department. The selected candidate will act as a liaison between the lawyers and advisors in the Corporate group and the Compliance team by:

• Conducting AML and KYC checks on new clients at the onboarding stage
• Completing the customer profile on the KYC Portal in liaison with the relationship lawyer
• Obtaining the letter of engagement and job form
• Collating the standard CDD in accordance with the CDD manual
• Performing the required searches and escalating where required
• Checking the CDD documents for integrity, accuracy, and quality, including the customer onboarding forms
• Uploading the standard CDD to the KYC Portal
• Informing the Compliance team when profile and standard CDD is complete
• Following up on any AML measures suggested by the Compliance team
