We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role will work closely with the Audience Generation Manager and other key members of our management team to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.Develop a deep understanding of the media and television industry, including key trends and competitive landscape.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them. Monitor sales activities and performance, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop strategic partnerships to enhance Med.TV’s market position and drive growth. Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements that align with the company’s goals.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the sales process from lead generation to closing deals. Develop and implement effective sales tools, processes, and metrics to track performance and drive improvements. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends. Analyze competitor activities and develop strategies to counteract competitive threats. Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the Audience Generation Manager to align business development and audience growth strategies. Collaborate with the management team to ensure cohesive and integrated approaches to business objectives. Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic planning sessions.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the business development budget. Ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Monetisation and Media House Relations: Identify and implement strategies to monetise content and partnerships. Develop and maintain relationships with media houses and content creators to expand Med.TV’s reach and influence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the media or television industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel required.
  • Office-based with the possibility of remote work as needed.
  • May require attendance at industry events, meetings, and conferences
