Category Manager (FMCG / HORECA)

Our client is looking for a Category Manager. 

Category Management:

• Interpret and analyze market share data for insights and recommendations.
• Align with category strategies and collaborate with suppliers for growth.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of competitors and their strategies.
• Develop and capitalize on opportunities through channel performance analysis.
• Research and reuse successful models.

Supplier Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers for joint sales plans and mutual growth.
• Oversee interactions with sales and marketing teams.
• Provide post-initiative recaps and foster strong supplier relationships.

Sales Execution:

• Secure budgets and allocate funds internally.
• Equip sales teams with resources for seamless implementation.
• Inspire and empower sales teams for effective execution.
• Implement tools for exceptional sales plan execution.
• Convey category plans to teams for swift execution.
• Conduct regular store assessments and capitalize on in-store opportunities.

Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting:

• Achieve bottom-line results through precise forecasting and budget management.
• Manage category budget and oversee expenditures.
• Place orders with suppliers and forecast stock on-hand accurately.

• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese.
• Valid driving license.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Able to communicate with a number of different audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, business management or relevant.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Hospitality / HORECA.
