Duties and responsibilities

Join our Credit Analysis Team as a Manager in Retail and Micro Business Lending, where your expertise will support our mission of responsible and sustainable lending. Reporting to the Head of Unit, you’ll play a crucial role in evaluating creditworthiness, enabling business, and help build a strong lending portfolio.  

You’ll collaborate closely with teams across the bank, including frontline staff, legal, and risk management, giving you exposure to wider aspects of the Bank’s operations and allowing you to make significant contribution to its success.

You will be responsible for:

  • evaluating and verifying lending applications through thorough vetting of documentation, due diligence checks and compliance with product terms and conditions;
  • conducting in depth analysis to assess creditworthiness, including verification of applicant income, debt servicing eligibility, and make recommendations on loan viability;
  • leveraging financial models and analysis techniques to identify and mitigate credit risks;
  • ensuring risks are aligned to the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements;
  • building relationships with internal stakeholders, enhancing the quality and efficiency of credit applications; and
  • presenting findings and recommendations in credit committee meetings, playing an active role in the decision-making process.

You must:

  • have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • have 6-8 years of experience in credit analysis or a related banking role, with a focus on retail and small business lending;
  • be meticulous and attentive for details;
  • be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; and
  • have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
