Junior Risk Officer

Our client within the financial sector is looking for a Junior Risk Officer to join their team

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments across all sectors, ensuring alignment with established methodologies and within set timeframes.
• Assist in compiling risk evaluation questionnaires and ensure that risk profiles remain updated by monitoring significant changes and trends.
• Support the Risk Manager, Assistant Manager, Risk Associates with risk-related projects and ad hoc tasks.
• Aid in data extraction, collation, and analysis from thematic and supervisory reviews, contributing to guidance for subject persons and drafting of guidance papers.
• Provide risk data and trend insights to teams for compliance examinations.
• Perform verification checks on risk data through validation checks, document reviews.
• Coordinate and cooperate with other stakeholders
• Assist with tasks related to evaluations and assessments by various local and international bodies

• Knowledge and practical understanding of the laws that govern the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta and the applicable international standards and EU legislation.
• Knowledge or experience in risk assessment, data analysis or statistics is considered an asset.
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in English.

• Diploma qualification in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, Financial Services OR Diploma in qualification in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, Financial Services, Audit or in any other subject and at least 3 years work experience relevant to this post., Audit or in any other subjectand at least 2 years work experience relevant to this post;
