Veterinary Nurse

Animal Doctors in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Animal Doctors, a leading veterinary clinic in Malta. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will work closely with our veterinarians and other staff members to ensure the well-being and health of our animal patients. Your role will be crucial in providing support and assistance in various medical procedures and treatments. Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist veterinarians in examinations, procedures, and surgeries
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor and record vital signs of animal patients
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as x-rays and laboratory tests
• Comfort and restrain animals during procedures and treatments
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• An MCAST diploma or degree or equivalent are considered an asset
• Ability to handle and restrain animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Proficient in computer skills and record-keeping
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Passion for providing quality care and compassion for animals.
