Veterinary Nurse

Animal Doctors in Malta is currently looking to recruit a  Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to our animal patients.
As a Veterinary Nurse, you will work closely with our veterinarians and other staff members to ensure the well-being and health of our animal patients.
Your role will be crucial in providing support and assistance in various medical procedures and treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in examinations, procedures, and surgeries
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor and record vital signs of animal patients
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as x-rays and laboratory tests
• Comfort and restrain animals during procedures and treatments
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• MCAST Diploma/Degree in animal care or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Proficient in computer skills and record-keeping
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Passion for providing quality care and compassion for animals
• Experience will be considered a great asset.
