The Finance Senior Clerk will be primarily responsible for debtor control while supporting the Company's Accounts Receivable and Payable teams within the Finance Department. This position reports directly to the Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments.
  • Liaise with the accounts receivable team to assist customers with balance and payment-related queries.
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices with customers and assist in the recovery of outstanding amounts.
  • Document records of collection activities and customer communications.
  • Assist with daily reconciliations and invoicing for La Valette transactions.
  • Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring correct authorisation, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the accounts’ payable function and assist the accounts receivable team.
  • Manage the company's petty cash, ensuring proper control, authorised disbursements, and accurate tracking of all transactions.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider Finance team.
  • To promote a positive image of the Company.
  • To care and promote for a spotlessly clean environment at MIA premises.
  • To report shortcomings immediately to the responsible department when noticing them and making sure that action is taken immediately to deal with them.
  • To conform to the Occupational Health & Safety Authority Act, ACT XXXIII of 2024 and subsidiary legislations.
  • To perform any other duties and / or related tasks as may be designated by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should:
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Have good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Be a team player.
  • Experience in finance or accounting support will be considered an asset.
