Main Duties
• Oversee and coordinate between Maintenance, Front Office, Housekeeping daily operations.
• Ensure efficient daily operations, service standards, and guest satisfaction across all Rooms Division departments.
• Manage the Property Management System (PMS) in relation to Rooms Division activities.
• Coordinate maintenance requirements and room-related projects with the Maintenance Department, General Manager, and relevant Heads of Department.
• Oversee gym operations, including cleanliness, safety, staffing, rosters, performance management, training, and compliance with hotel standards.
• Lead, support, and develop departmental heads and teams within the Rooms Division.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement development plans where required.
• Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment.
• Ensure guest feedback, complaints, and operational issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Work closely with Guest Relations, and other respective Heads of Departments to enhance the overall guest experience and implement service improvement initiatives.
• Assist in preparing and managing departmental budgets, capital expenditure, payroll costs, vacation leave allocation, and operational expenses.
• Monitor departmental costs, overall performance and sustainability practices throughout guest rooms.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards.
• Coordinate security, incident management, emergency procedures, and operational safety measures to protect guests, employees, and hotel property.
• Prepare operational reports and KPI analyses for the General Manager.
• Analyse operational trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a Rooms Division Manager, Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, or similar senior operational role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, room maintenance operations, and hotel PMS systems.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing, motivating, and developing operational teams and departmental heads.
• Solid guest relations and complaint-handling skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of budgeting, payroll control, operational costs, and departmental financial management.
• Ability to maintain and monitor service quality, cleanliness standards, and operational procedures.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and emergency procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management and Heads of Department.
• Ability to analyse reports, identify operational trends, and implement improvements.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends, public holidays, and operational requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Knowledge of Opera Property Management System (PMS) will be considered an asset.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
