An esteemed client of ours within the aviation industry is seeking to recruit a VAT Manager to join their growing local tax team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Managing the reporting and VAT compliance and ensuring this is being completed accurately and in a timely manner
Analyzing and reviewing of accounting data
Supporting with multiple jurisdictional VAT reviews and registration processes
Rerconciling of VAT general ledger accounts including identifying variances and recommending suitable and corrective actions
Reviewing of invoices from VAT perspective and identifying improvements needed;
Supporting in the implementation of VAT controls and identifying opportunities to implement improvements, secure efficiencies and enhance compliance
Coming up with solutions on VAT issues
Producing written materials and process notes for the tax and finance team on VAT procedures
Supporting with import VAT and duties in relation to global imports
Assisting and supporting the team with VAT audits from the tax authorities
Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Assisting with the implementation and integration of tax related software solutions
Identifying potential tax planning opportunities and suggesting these to the team
Skill-sets and Requirements
Minimum 5 - 7 years working experience in a similar role
Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to understand processes and systems
Strong knowledge in VAT related laws locally and within multiple EU jurisdictions
Diligent and excellent team player
Excellent communications skills in English, both verbally and written
Education & Experience
Candidates holding a related qualification will be given preference
