Senior Accountant

A client of ours, a Corporate Service Provider, is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on a full-time basis for one of their clients operating in the Retail industry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining up to date accounting records up to trial balance stage
• Posting of invoices
• Completing day to day bookkeeping
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Processing VAT returns
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
• Ensuring Debtors and Creditors are in line with the credit terms
• Chasing such debtors
• Assisting to ad-hoc queries and tasks as instructed from management
• Preparation of Payroll and work permits
• Prepare the finalisation pack for the companies within the same group.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Having a Maltese driver’s license would be considered an asset- Proficiency in both Maltese and English language is required
• Be Professional and have a strong work ethics – Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work
