Senior Accountant

Our Client, an international company who recently redomiciled their Finance function in Malta is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their Finance Department. 

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and presentation of Management Accounts for approximately 6, holding companies according to IFRS standards
• Budget forecasts, financial models, and any other ad-hoc reports required by senior management
• Liaising with external auditors 
• Recommending and maintaining internal controls
• Maintenance of accounts payable cycle - costs and purchase invoices to be in line with accounting requirements, ensure payments are made on time and with the applicable authorizations
• Maintenance of a fixed assets register and depreciation calculations
• Compiling annual financial statements under IFRS, assisting in the preparation of other financial information, Board Reports, Returns, and Reconciliation statements
• Supporting the Finance Manager, Finance Analysts, and Reporting Teams in any queries that may arise
• Assisting team members in other locations in respect of intercompany transactions and reporting, other finance duties and activities as may be required for the performance of duties, ad-hoc requests depending on company requirements
• Ensuring adherence to Maltese regulatory and reporting requirements
• Working with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Malta Finance function
• VAT and Tax Returns and computations, and other regulatory financial returns
