Interim Credit Controller (Maternity Cover)

DHL International Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit an Interim Credit Controller (Maternity Cover) to join their team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role of the Credit Control would ensure that DHL customers are correctly paying and settling their outstanding payments as per credit terms. The role will be on a 1-year contract with the possibility of extending.
Some of the tasks are not limited to just these but include:
- Allocate received payments to their respective creditor account in the accounting system
- Undertake account reconciliations/analysis as required
- Follow up payment performance, chase outstanding invoices to keep within set KPIs
- Calling customers to settle outstanding debts
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity, including detailed notes on accounts systems
- Dealing with client invoice queries by phone & email
Applicants should fulfill the following criteria:
- An understanding of accounts is required, A-level standards will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience will be considered an asset;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Decision making.
