Head of Finance

One of our clients, specialising in the retail industry, is currently looking to onboard a highly experienced Head of Finance to join their team; The designated person will be working closely with the CEO and GM, and responsibilities are as follows:

Duties:

• Oversee the management of the finance function operations
• Responsible for budgeting and forecasting as well as financial reporting 
• Manage, mentor and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth throughout
• Manage the financial planning and monitoring /reporting its performance accordingly 
• Facilitate and coordinate group audits, overseeing audit adjustments accordingly
• Handling the generation of consolidated accounts where required  
• Being involved in strategic decision making, offering insight and guidance to senior management 
• Perform internal audits as required, and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks
• Facilitate and coordinate group income tax compliance
• Assist the CEO in strengthening the financial function and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure finance operations are well-prepared for future challenges

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar Senior role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and in Maltese
• Able to identify issues and develop effective solutions
• Solid experience in management reporting, budgeting, and financial modelling

• Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted finance professional
