Our client is a well established company that operates in the financial services. They would like to engage a Head ofFinance to join their team
The Role
You will report into the CFO,
You will manage the company's finance operations including financial stability
You will ensure that financial reporting be it internal and external is done accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure that IFRS 9 is delivered on time and accurately and act as the subject matter
You will analyse all the financial data and ensure to report on any variances and ensure corrective action is taken
Ensure that risk management is given priority and is high on the agenda
Ensure that audits are given the due importance be it in the dealings with auditors and managing audit findings/resolution
Have an excellent relationship with both auditors and regulators
The preparation of commentary to the financials and the preparation of supplementary financial
analysis for Management, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders
Assisting the CFO in preparing and presenting executive reports to EXCO, Audit Committee,
and other governance bodies
Help with the Budgeting and forecasting process
Ensure that tax related data is furnished to the interested department in the right manner
Researching technical accounting issues to ensure ongoing compliance with accounting
standards at all points.
Provide input and interpretations through technical accounting papers
on the impact of new accounting standards and how these would impact the company from a
financial perspective
Ensuring quality control on all information / processes / data underpinning the company's financial
reporting as well as undertaking quality assessments on all reports being issued
Managing accounting operations relating to billing, payments, accruals and revenue
recognition
Assist with strategy both in the formulation and implementation
Managing the team
Skill-sets and Requirements
Be a qualified, warranted accountant (CPA)
Be knowledgeable of IFRS9
Have extensive experience in a similar role within a Finance or Banking institution
Have experience in leading a team
Be a good communicator at all levels
Education & Experience
Be a qualified, warranted accountant (CPA)
