Financial Controller

Our client, a leading property development business as well as an established hospitality and rental brand is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join its growing and dynamic team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

•  Preparing of management accounts for the group on a quarterly basis as well as preparing of financial statements, including consolidated figures
• Managing the day to day transactions such as postings, reconciliations, receivables and payables as well as bank payments and deposits
• Compiling of various financial reports for internal and external use
• Preparation and submission of regulatory returns
• Liaising and assisting external auditors during the audit process
• Assisting in specific assignments and projects as assigned by management
• Supporting and guiding other team members within the Finance department
• Any other duties which may be required from time to time

• A minimum 5 years working experience in a similar role locally ideally within hospitality, property development, property rental or construction
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office especially MS Excel and SAGE
• Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Maltese
• Team player with strong leadership skills
• Meticulous with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Fully qualified and warranted in accounts locally. Candidates in their final stages of ACCA will also be considered
