Financial Accountant (Part Qualified)

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Part Qualified Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting tasks, providing essential support in financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management. This role is ideal for a proactive self-starter who is working towards their professional accounting qualification and looking to gain comprehensive experience in various aspects of accounting.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support budget development, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and post journal entries
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Oversee invoicing, payments, supplier reconciliations, and collections
• Support VAT returns and compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts and reports
• Conduct financial analysis to aid business decision-making
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) actively pursuing full qualification
• 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in Xero and advanced in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Knowledgeable about current accounting standards and regulations
• Proactive, adaptable, and motivated, with strong ethical standards
• Eager to learn and grow professionally
