Financial Accountant

One of our clients, within the telecommunications industry is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing month end journal entries relating to operating costs
• Maintaining accruals and prepayments as well as Intercompany reconciliations
• Assisting in the monthly revenue bill run 
• Explanation of variances to budget and to prior month or year
• Assisting in year-end audit procedures and the preparation of annual financial statements
• Preparation of Vat returns on a quarterly basis and other statutory tax reporting requirements
• Supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller on an ad hoc basis

• Previous local experience of at least 3 years within an accounting position
• Conversant with IFRS reporting standards
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office specifically Excel

• Fully qualified through ACCA or Masters in Acocuntancy
