Deputy Head of Finance

Our client, an International private aviation company based in Malta, is looking to recruit a Deputy Head of Finance reporting to the Head of Finance:
Responsibilities :
- Collaborating with the Head of Finance in daily operations.
- Ensuring the accuracy of accounting records.
- Contributing to the month-end process for the submission of precise monthly management accounts.
- Handling the posting of invoices and journals in our accounting software tool.
- Timely preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Formulating policies, procedures, and controls.
- Engaging with and providing support to external auditors.
- Aiding the Head of Finance in the budgeting process.
- Coordinating with the Head of Finance for the implementation of new projects.
- Assisting the Head of Finance and the team with any ad-hoc requests.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Able to work to meet agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Excel literate
- Experience in cost control, budgeting and reporting will be considered an asset
- Previous experience in Aviation industry will be preferred
- Eye for detail
- Fully Qualified Accountant
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
